Manara Academy, Cuttack
This is the oldest project under the Manara initiative that was set up in the year 2003 at Shaikh Bazar, Cuttack. Serving the urban poor in the heart of Cuttack city, this was the first pre-school of its kind to offer English-medium education along with inputs based on Islamic morals and values. On public demand, it also offer remedial coaching for higher classes.
Manara Academy, Aul
This is the second project catering to poor kids from a rural background. Started in 2004, this project was set up in the village of Aul in Kendrapara District. It also offer remedial coaching for higher classes.
Manara Academy, Satkanya
This project is part of the Village Transformation initiative undertaken by IBF Net in the village Satkanya in Puri District. It was started in the year 2017.
The Manara group of pre-schools is an ambitious project to bring high-quality English-medium education to the urban and rural poor children. The success of the pilots has led to a plan to upscale the project by replicating the experiment in many more locations in the coastal districts of Odisha in India.
